Valued at over $15B and serving 25,000+ clients globally, this company is one of the largest HR, IT, and finance workforce management platforms in the world. It enables organizations to manage the entire employee lifecycle through highly automated workflows built on a common data model. Its client base ranges from small startups to large enterprises, and the platform is positioned as a modern alternative to fragmented HR and IT stacks. 

We began working with them to ensure their sanctions lists were always up to date. Like many organizations, they were concerned that their false-positive rate was too high, which led us to engage in a tuning exercise. That exercise revealed that their incumbent provider lacked the configuration flexibility they needed, prompting them to consider alternative vendors better suited to their operational requirements. However, they were hesitant to embark on a traditional sanctions-screening vendor selection process, which can take six months to a year. Instead, we introduced our vendor comparison functionality. 

Our vendor comparison feature allows clients to evaluate sanctions screening solutions head-to-head using scenarios that are meaningful to their specific sanctions operations. Based on the client’s program, our system generates datasets that reflect their risk profile and tolerance. Clients can then test multiple providers—without writing code or entering lengthy sales processes. Vendors are informed of the exercise, and our contractual agreements allow us to test their systems on the client’s behalf. Once results are presented, the client can confidently decide which vendor to move forward with. 

In this case, the client had already established relationships with the vendors they wanted to test, and one required integration into our platform. We completed the integration in just a couple of weeks, allowing the client to begin testing almost immediately. 

They selected three potential providers and, after preliminary discussions, chose to test their incumbent provider head-to-head against one alternative. The results were conclusive. Our system automatically generated a detailed report with the findings, which the client used to technically justify the switch. They prepared and presented the business case to management and made the decision to move forward—all within six weeks. As their Deputy Compliance Director noted, “Thanks to you, we did in six weeks what takes the industry at least six months.” 

 

The client is now in the process of rolling out their new provider and will continue using our platform to perform model validation, a requirement when deploying a new screening solution and to meet NYDFS compliance obligations. They expanded their engagement with us, demonstrating that usage of our platform increases as new use cases are introduced, and signed a multi-year agreement with increased spend. This marked the first time outputs from Yanez MIID SN54 were used in a production client environment. 

We also previewed our upcoming location risk feature set, and they immediately committed to evaluating it as soon as it becomes available.
